The Story Of What Started My Journey With Jaxson's Journey Cleaning & Handyman Services

Hi my name is Brandi Vaillancourt I'm 33 yrs old, Married to my husband Jonathan of 5 yrs, and I'm also a mom of 3 beautiful living children, Nathan, Leilani, & Nevaeh. I am also a mother to 2 beautiful babies Jaxson, & Lainey who watch down upon me everyday they walk beside Jesus what better place could you imagine being!! I got pregnant with Jaxson with my ex husband and he was due to be born in November 2020, pretty normal happy pregnancy, or so we thought up until my anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

Maternal fetal medicine noticed Jaxson was measuring about 2 weeks behind and was concerned that baby Jaxson might have a condition called tetrology of falot which is a congenital heart disease which my baby boy would not live, so the immediately referred me to Shands children's hospital in Gainesville FL where they did a extensive ultrasound after the ultrasound lasted about 45 mins it was then time to see the Dr right after which is where they sat me down and told me my sweet baby boy had a congenital heart disease called Pulmonary Atresia With Intact Ventricular Septum it's a disease that meant he would need immediate open heart surgery as soon as he arrived and placed in PICU for a good stay. I was told I'd have to be under close watch and they also recommended I have a amniocentesis done while there, I agreed as I was willing to do whatever possible to keep my unborn baby safe and that's the decision that has forever changed my life đź’”

When having the amniocentesis done the Dr stuck my amniotic sac with the wrong size needle so then they had to stick me again which put 2 puncture holes in my amniotic sac, I got done, I finally drove home to Tallahassee everything seemed fine until day 3. 3 days after that procedure I got extremely sick, weak, I couldn't take care of my 2 yr old at the time so I went to my local hospital they noticed my amniotic fluid was a little low but told me not to worry and to follow up with Shands. My mommy instinct knew something was wrong so I went home called my Dr at Shands and they told me to get to Shands hospital as fast as I could safely do so, so I packed my bags and that's where me and my husband at the time went. When arriving at the hospital they begin treating me right away and there words to me was, " I hope you packed a big enough bag, cause your here to stay the remainder of your pregnancy" I immediately got scared it was right during the pandemic also and now hearing I have to spend months in the hospital away from my other baby at home and no visitors! But I knew I had to fight so 4 months, 4 months y'all!!!

I laid in Shands hospital fighting a HARD fight constant heart decelerations every time I'd fall asleep, being flipped in bed to keep his heart rate right I was miserable and exhausted but Jaxson kept putting up the fight so therefore I did also. Well after going through this for 4 months the Drs called a meeting a bunch of providers of different kinds come in the room and there rolling a ultrasound machine to determine next level of care. After performing ultrasound the Drs have a talk with me and I'll never forget there words which were " I'm sorry Ms Gruber but there's nothing more we can do for you, so we're going to discharge you and when Jaxson dies come back to us and we will be more then happy to deliver him for you" like um WHAT!?!?!!! I told my husband at the time no sir I said please let's try one more place and if they say same thing then I'll let him pass peacefully in his timing he agreed to go somewhere else so we left Gainesville and headed to Orlando FL to Winnie Palmer they immediately admitted me told me that Baby Jaxson was on his last days as he barely had any fluid left around him and so I agreed to do palliative care which they highly suggested

I was beyond broken as I was not ready to say goodbye to my baby well 3 days I spent there and on the 3rd day I told my husband I wanted to go home to my little boy Nathan and have family time before Jaxson passes on he agreed again so he got a nurse and she said okay let me tell the Dr so Dr comes in and she says by all means that's fine but before you leave we have to check fetal tones well that's the moment my world came crashing down I heard the words " I'm sorry but baby Jaxson is no longer with us" I bawled for what felt like months but I immediately told them let's start induction so I can say my goodbyes and get home to plan his funeral. They started my induction On September 5, 2020 at 9:20pm and on September 6, 2020 at 7:00 am Jaxson Liam Gruber came into this world beyond perfect at 27 weeks gestational had all fingers all toes fully formed baby boy he weighed in at 1 lb 1 oz I spent the entire day with him and when it was time to leave omg that was the absolute hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life I arrive home in Tallahassee my little boy had no idea who I was it had been so long without mommy but he eventually realized and he's almost 9 today and a huge mamas boy lol. Jaxson was transported from Orlando FL to Tallahassee FL by family funeral home in Tallahassee where I planed a viewing for myself and close family could say our final goodbye and our family could meet him and say goodbyes also we spent about 2 hrs at the funeral home with him and that's when I had to close his casket and I never seen him again until I was handed his urn. After sitting at home for about 2 weeks after he passed and funeral I told my husband I can't just sit here I've got to do something to help someone else in jaxson's honor and that's how Jaxson's Journey came along I said well I have so much experience in Cleaning so that's what I want to do he helped me figure my LLC and about 3 weeks later I started my cleaning business Jaxson's Journey Cleaning & Handyman Services. Everyone please meet my pride and joy
